"How do we know we are living in the last days?"; "What makes you so sure that the church has not replaced Israel?"; "You focus too much on Israel - shouldn't we be more concerned as Christians about being light and salt in the world?"
These are some of the questions we are often asked in our work as Christians for Israel, and they are good questions. The answer is - we don't know everything, and we do not pretend to hold the whole truth. But we simply trust God's word as true and faithful, and seek to understand and discern the times we are living in in the light of that Word, and encourage others to do the same.
We hope you will be encouraged as you read the stories in this edition of The Messenger. They are all signs of hope - sure messages that the King is coming, to establish His kingdom on earth. Maranatha.
God bless you.

900 Bnei Menashe allowed to return to Israel
On Sunday morning (14 October 2013), the Government of Israel unanimously passed the resolution allowing another 900 members of the Lost Tribe of Bnei Menashe home from India to Zion.
Michael Freund (Chairman Shavei Israel): 'Under the terms of the decision we will bring the first 200 people to Israel before the end of December, followed by 400 people next year and 300 in 2015. In order to do so, we need your help. After 2,700 years, the return to Zion of a Lost Tribe of Israel continues. May we merit to witness their complete deliverance soon…'
C4I Global Executive Council kicks off!
The Global Executive Council has been established to provide a platform for the leaders of the Christians for Israel (C4I) movement around the world to gather together for fellowship, vision-building, strategising and prayer. As the C4I movement is growing rapidly in so many different countries, it is extremely important that we are united, support each other and make optimum use of our limited resources.
Andrew Tucker's visit to Australia, New Zealand and Singapore
In August 2013, I travelled "down-under" for meetings with some of our teams in Asia and Oceania. First stop over was a meeting at Hong Kong airport with our friend Tony Tam, businessman in Hong Kong. Following our meeting last November in Kuala Lumpur, Tony has been preparing the way for us to connect with churches and theological seminaries in mainland China. Tony has just completed a short visit together with Willem Glashouwer to Zhong Nan Theological Seminary in Wuhan. We believe the Lord is opening the doors to China to strengthen and support the many Christians whom the Lord is already preparing for His work in the days to come.
C4I Development in the South Pacific
Christians for Israel NZ has accepted responsibility for the development of the ministry throughout the Pacific Islands. This includes nations like Fiji, Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga, New Caledonia and Niue. Presently the Israel and Christians Today paper is being sent to strategic contacts. Most of these contacts are either pastors or elders of Churches. Several are national leaders of denominations.
Why End Times Kindle edition
The Kindle edition of Why End Times by Rev. Willem Glashouwer is now available on Amazon!
Why End Times? explores God’s prophetic plans for Israel and the nations. This is just not another end-time theory but a teaching firmly grounded on God’s Holy Word, providing an in-depth analysis concerning the prophetic significance of Israel and her relationship to the nations.
Israel Prayer Letter October/November 2013
Israel finds itself in the eye of the storm, in the surrounding countries there is chaos. Just follow the news media and you will know. With this prayer letter we would like to inspire you to continue to pray faithfully for God’s people in the coming months. For each of the subjects you will find seven prayers, like the seven arms of the Menorah. They are pointed upwards, to our heavenly Father. That is the only right direction: “Set your hearts on things above.”
Far East Russia speaking tour Rev. Glashouwer
Rev. Willem Glashouwer recently travelled to Far East Russia, and reports the following about this speaking tour: "Again a great and blessed tour in the framework of our partner Ebenezer! Many books and teaching materials were spread. The LORD really is moving forward. More and more churches and pastors open up for the message about Israel – in FAR EAST RUSSIA and in the whole world. It is a privilege to be involved."
Final Aliyah flights from Ethiopia - last 450 olim have arrived in Israel
On Wednesday 28 August 2013 the Aliyah (immigration) from Ethiopia came to an end. Operation Dove's Wings concluded a 3-year effort led by the Jewish Agency, supported by Keren Hayesod, to bring the remnants of the Jewish community of Ethiopia to Israel. Christians for Israel actively supported this project for many years as part of our project Bring the Jews Home. In total 90,000 immigrants were brought from Ethiopia to Israel.
