Help your fellow Christians to discover God’s purposes for Israel...
The mission of Christians for Israel International is to teach Christians worldwide about God’s purposes with Israel – and what that means for us Christians in today’s world. Co-ordinators have been appointed in many countries to develop this ministry. Meet the people with a passion to share the mystery of Israel!
France and Northern Africa
France is not only home to a large (and growing) population with people coming from countries where Islam is dominant, but also has the second largest Jewish community outside Israel (600,000). The enmity between these groups is always a threat, very sensitive with the tricky mirror of television. Gilles B. is pastor in Paris and member of the C4I Working Group in France that is active amongst Arab Christians.
Gilles B.: "Muslims who come to faith in the Lord Jesus are often subject to persecution - in many cases by their own families. We praise God that so many Muslims are coming to know the true Jesus. We see many Muslims freed of the anti-Semitism and hatred of the Jewish people that is rooted in the Islam, in a religious but also even more in a cultural extend. In a sense, the relationship between the Arab and Jewish communities in France is microcosm of the conflict in the Middle-East. Communities in France can transform into two hours in a real duplication of the conflict in the Middle-East. That's why changing individual hearts at the local level offers hope for reconciliation on the global scale.
The work of educating Arab Christians about God's purposes for Israel is an intensive process that involves much personal contact. Through teaching Arab Christian leaders we hope that many Arab Christians will come to know God's love for Israel in their hearts."
