Pray for Israel!

1 November 2023

Pray for Israel with the words of Psalm 27

“The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? (…) Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.”

Pray for the commanders of the IDF

The war has been going on for more than three weeks now and is expanding. Pray that the commanders will make the right decisions. That civilian casualties will be minimized and that Israeli soldiers will be able to defend the people in the best way possible. Pray that the terrorist organization Hamas will be eliminated as effectively as possible.

Pray for the hostages

That they may put their hope in God, that no harm will be done to them and that they will be released soon. You can also pray by name for the hostages.

Pray for the hostages who have been released

That they will be able to cope with all the misery they have endured and that their wounds will heal. May they look to God for help in all of this.

Pray for displaced families in Israel

Pray for shelter, food and protection for the families who had to flee from the villages around Gaza. Pray for comfort.

Pray that the truth will be shared by the media

In many news outlets, the news is not presented objectively. Pray for objective reporting without bias.

Pray for the Jewish communities worldwide

There is fear among the Jewish communities. Pray for protection. Pray that the Lord will prevent any attacks against the Jewish people.

Pray that the love for Israel will grow in your country

Pray that those who support Israel will share their thoughts and feelings about the situation. Pray that those who speak out for Israel will not fear criticism or threats. Pray for churches to speak the truth.

Pray for the emergency campaigns launched in Israel

Local initiatives are emerging to meet emergency needs in Israel. Pray that the work that is being done by all the volunteers may be blessed. Also, pray that they will have enough supplies to work with.

Pray with the words of Psalm 83

Cover their faces with shame, Lord, so that they will seek your name. (…) Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord— that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.”
