Are Jews allowed to live in their historic homeland?
The fight for the right of Jews to live in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria – the birthplace and homeland of their people – continues.
This is a battle between the God of Israel – who is bringing His people home – and the world, that refuses to acknowledge His sovereignty.
This is a spiritual battle. God has promised that the children of Jacob will dwell in the land promised to their forefathers. He is bringing them home, before our very eyes. Satan and the world oppose that. It is a battle in the heavenly places that manifests itself on earth.
“I will cause people, my people Israel, to live on you.”
Jews have lived in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria continuously for thousands of years. The only exception was Jordan’s illegal occupation (1948-1967). Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria contain many important Jewish (and Christian) holy sites.
Jews who have come back to live in Judea and Samaria since the end of the Jordanian occupation in 1967 are demonized as “illegal settlers”. One of those was Ravid Chaim Gez, the infant son of terror victim Tzeela Gez.
Ravid was buried on Thursday evening, hours after succumbing to his wounds sustained in the shooting attack that claimed his mother’s life two weeks ago.
Tzeela had been on the way to the hospital together with her husband, Hananel Gez, to deliver the baby when a terrorist opened fire on their vehicle in Samaria. Tzeela was fatally wounded, dying in the hospital shortly afterward. The medical team managed to deliver the baby by emergency C-section, but he had suffered severe oxygen deprivation.
The Gez family are living in Samaria because this is the homeland of their people. The Jews have been trying for decades to live in the land together with the Palestinians.
Tragically, Palestinian society has been radicalized over the decades, to deny the Jews any rights to live in this land. The goal of extreme Islamism is not to establish two democratic states living side by side. No, their goal is to remove Jews entirely from this land, that they believe belongs exclusively to the non-Jewish population of the land.
United Nations calls for ethnic cleansing of Judea and Samaria
Next month, on 17-20 June, the United Nations will hold a High-level international conference in New York. Hosted by France and Saudi Arabia, the conference is intended to “implement the two-states solution.”
According to France and Saudi Arabia:
“The international community has thus decided to assume its responsibility to support a political and a just solution that brings the occupation and waves of violence in the Middle East to an end, and contributes to countering extremism and terrorism, hatred and resentment, through the peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine and the implementation of the two-State solution… The objective of the Conference is thus to help end the occupation and materialize the independent and sovereign State of Palestine …”
Make no mistake, this conference is part of a carefully orchestrated campaign – primarily by the Islamic, Arab, and African groups of UN member states, supported by some European and other states – to destroy the Jewish state.Their goal is to remove all Jews from the Old City of Jerusalem – including the Temple Mount – and Judea and Samaria.Once made judenrein, this land is to be handed over to an Islamic Palestinian state. Given current realities, there is a strong possibility that Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other groups sponsored by Iran and Qatar will take control of that state.
Hamas and “do-gooders” in the West
The war in the Gaza Strip continued for over 600 days. Hamas refuses to release hostages, or to end its genocidal attacks on Israel and the Jewish people. Israel continues to pursue its dual war aims: dismantle Hamas and release the hostages. It is a stalemate. Western leaders – like those in Canada, UK and France – ignore Hamas’ real intentions, and call on Israel to end its attempts to dismantle Hamas.
Israel refuses to heed to those demands. Recently Israel launched operation “Gideon’s Chariots”. The Israeli military is pushing through the north and central regions of Gaza. Four safe humanitarian zones have been opened for civilians. Using leaflets, phone calls, texts, and social media, the IDF warned the Palestinians in Gaza of their intention to eliminate the last vestiges of Hamas, calling them to find refuge in the safe zones.
In no other urban war has an army gone to such lengths to protect innocent civilians. This week, a new proposal was proposed by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. The demand is for 10 live hostages and 18 bodies of dead hostages to be released in two waves, which is one less live hostage than the previous deal. In return, there would be a 60-day ceasefire, aid would begin again through the UN and not the American companies, and more than 1200 Gazan prisoners would be released.
It remains to be seen whether either Hamas or Israel will accept that proposal.
Let us continue to pray this week for the release of all the hostages, and an end to Hamas’ brutal regime. Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and that Jews and Arabs may live in peace together in the land. Let us pray moreover for the coming of the Prince of Peace.

The ‘Two-State Solution’ to Kill Jews, Destroy Israel

SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK: Ezekiel 36:8-15
8 ‘But you, mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. 9 I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown, 10 and I will cause many people to live on you—yes, all of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. 11 I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 12 I will cause people, my people Israel, to live on you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance;you will never again deprive them of their children.
13 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because some say to you, “You devour people and deprive your nation of its children,” 14 therefore you will no longer devour people or make your nation childless, declares the Sovereign Lord. 15 No longer will I make you hear the taunts of the nations, and no longer will you suffer the scorn of the peoples or cause your nation to fall, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”
