Christians for Israel International extends our heartfelt condolences to all those who lost loved ones in the tragic Bondi Beach shooting in Sydney, Australia. We pray for the swift recovery of those injured and for comfort to the grieving families.

We stand in solidarity with Jewish communities worldwide, who continue to live under constant threat and terror. Rising antisemitism is not being adequately confronted; worse still, governments and churches often fuel it through relentless criticism of Israel and the Jewish people.

During this week of Hanukkah, as the Jewish community celebrates the rededication of the Temple and the miracle that accompanied it, we call upon Christians in Australia and across the globe to express their unity and shared faith. We serve the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

History is filled with painful lessons of what happens when we fail to stand up against antisemitism. Allowing universities and city streets to be occupied by voices shouting “Death to the Jews” is not harmless rhetoric—it is a deadly threat that must be taken with the utmost seriousness. Yet, too often, governments fail to respond adequately.

In the period leading up to World War II, the Nazis ensured every household had a radio to spread propaganda and manipulate minds. Today, social media plays a similar role, amplified by mainstream outlets that freely broadcast the propaganda of terror organizations. If we are not vigilant, history may repeat itself with devastating consequences.

Now is the time to rise and speak out. On behalf of Christians worldwide, we urge heads of government and church leaders to stand firm and call evil by its name. God’s chosen people are at stake. Arise!
