Jordan releases two Israelis who crossed border

Two Israeli citizens who accidentally crossed into Jordan on Saturday were detained by Jordanian troops and subsequently returned to Israel, the IDF said on Sunday.

The military urged Israelis to avoid crossing the border outside official crossing points, warning that doing so is dangerous and illegal.

Israel is bolstering its security posture along its 310-mile border with Jordan, the country’s longest, building a security barrier and developing a five-year plan to expand communities and strengthen Israel’s presence along the strategic frontier.
