Pray for Peace, Pray for Protection

In the early hours of Saturday, February 28, Israel, together with the United States, launched a coordinated pre‑emptive strike on multiple targets across Iran. Explosions were reported throughout Tehran and other cities as part of what U.S. President Donald Trump described as “major combat operations” against the Islamic Republic. Israeli officials stated the operation was initiated in response to intelligence indicating an imminent missile and drone attack from Iran.
Iran’s leadership, long accused of supporting armed groups across the region, has continued its pursuit of nuclear capabilities despite international pressure. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, warning that such a development would endanger the entire world.
Iran has already begun retaliating, launching missiles at Israel and targeting U.S. bases in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE. Israel has declared a nationwide state of emergency and instructed civilians to remain close to bomb shelters as the situation continues to escalate.
Once again, Israel finds itself under threat, and we ask you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for the protection of its people, and for wisdom for its leaders as they navigate this dangerous moment. We also ask you to pray for the people of Iran—millions who have no say in the decisions of their rulers and who now face the consequences of their regime’s actions. May they one day be freed from oppression and able to live in peace with their neighbours.
‘As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people both now and forevermore.’
Psalm 125:2
